3) To View and Query Data

Once you’ve brought up the DEQ WQ Data Viewer you will be able to view and query a large variety of data. The initial view is comprised of 3 primary displays: the tool bar (left), the map view (center), and a listing of available data sets and their descriptions - table of contents - (right).

The tool bar allows you to select how you will interact with the data and map. The table of contents allows you to select which data sets you will view and interact with. The map displays the data sets and facilitates use of your chosen tool.

If you have questions about how the Viewer works, simply click on the Help Tool Button.

This will bring up both a brief and detailed description of the functionality of each tool option.

As you select a data layer you would like to view you have the option to only view the GIS layer (check visible next to the layer of interests) or to also query the information available for that layer (check active next to layer of interest).

If querying data you can then use various tools ( i.e. the Identify Tool Button or the Select by Rectangle Tool Button  to access database information associated with layer of interest.
